Personal: My name is Danielle Marie Lowe. My birthdate is June 2, 1982. I am the youngest of four children with two older brothers and one older sister. My brothers names are Ronnie and Tim'e, and my sister is Melanie. I have the two greatest, loving, most supportive parents in the world, Ron and Darlene. I have been with my husband, Cliff, for 7 years. We were married on September 6, 2008. We have a daughter Rylie who will be 5 on May 15th and a son named Jaxon who will be 2 on October 2nd. We live in Kent Island and I absolutely love it! We love to spend our free time boating, swimming, traveling, and spending time with our VERY large families. I am a diehard Ravens fan and love the Orioles! Our little ones keep us extremely busy between playdates, soccer and ballet but in our down time we love to either go to the movies or "camp-out" in our family room and watch some at home.
School: I attended Kent Island Elementary School, Stevensville Middle, and Queen Anne's County High School. I graduated high school in 2000 and attended Chesapeake Community College for the fall semester of 2000. In the winter of 2001 I transferred to then Salisbury State University where I was enrolled as a student in the education program until 2003 when I was in an accident which put me in a coma for 3 days and the hospital for 2 weeks. Because of this accident I was forced to move home and undergo 5 surgeries over 2 years. In 2008 I returned to school and attended Chesapeake Community College where I graduated with my AAT (Associates of Art in Teaching) in May of 2010. I then transferred to Salisbury University and began the cohort program which I will complete in May of 2012 where I will graduate with my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education.
History of Technology Use: Throughout school the only technology that I was introduced to was calculators, the overheard projectors in the classroom, audio tapes in the much younger grades, and computers either in the library or in the lab in middle and high school. In high school I did take a computer class but that was more so for typing than really understanding the computer. In college I used computers for your normal typing papers, research, and communicating with friends through various programs. I have never created a website, a blog, a wikispace, a podcast, etc. so that is why alot of this seems foreign to me but I am excited to learn about all the new gadgets, especially the smartboards!
